Mobile Application v5.17 introduces enhancements to Traveller notifications and bug fixes.
Minimum iOS & Android Version
The minimum supported iOS version for the Visa Commercial Pay App will remain iOS 16.
The minimum supported Android version for the Visa Commercial Pay App will remain Android 14.
Enhancements to Traveller Notifications
We're adding additional notifications throughout the hotel booking journey to provide travellers with clearer guidance on using their virtual card and to ensure hotels have the information they need to process payment. Traveller feedback has shown that payment issues and missing payment information are a common source of frustration. These updates will help reduce payment failures, improve the traveller experience, and increase confidence in using virtual cards for hotel stays.
App users will receive the following notifications when they are sent a hotel booking:
Payment Confirmation
This is sent when a booking has been created to confirm that the virtual card will be used to pay for the stay.
Registration Reminder
This is sent if the user has not registered a week before the check-in date.
24h Reminder
This is sent to support the user with the check-in experience, providing advice on how the hotel can successfully charge the in-app virtual card.
