Mobile Application v5.17 Release Schedule
Mobile Application v5.17 includes improvements to performance and traveller experience, the auto removal of cards from the user's digital wallet, and bug fixes.
Minimum iOS & Android Version
The minimum supported iOS version for the Visa Commercial Pay App will remain iOS 16.
The minimum supported Android version for the Visa Commercial Pay App will remain Android 14.
Performance Improvements
To improve platform performance and response times we are removing unused API endpoints and removing properties from existing endpoints.
Traveller Experience Improvements
We are making various changes to improve the guidance we provide to travellers via the app, this will ensure that we offer the right information at the right time.
The following features and improvements are included in these changes:
Displaying a Hotel Acceptance Index rating within email notifications and the Check-In Assistant so that the user can be confident that the hotel is able to process their payment.
Allowing travellers to provide a reason as to why they were unable to use their virtual card.
Improving the flow of traveller notifications such as the initial hotel voucher/confirmation and a series of scheduled reminders.
Displaying a "Live Trip" indicator on the dashboard.
Adding a post-trip notification with next steps and feedback options.
Auto Removal of Digital Wallet Cards
We are adding back-end functionality to automatically remove expired virtual cards from the device's digital wallet.
All device digital wallet tokens will automatically be deleted when a card expires or is cancelled, preventing invalid cards from being displayed as available in the user's digital wallet. This will improve user experience, free up wallet capacity, and prevent expired credentials from being used.
Password Reset Improvements
We are introducing an email-based password reset process, eliminating the need for memorable information. Users requesting a password reset will receive a time-limited email link that allows them to securely set a new password.
